This Queer Horror Streamin’ Demons we do Warlock, Embryo, and Rocky Horror Picture Show. Join us as Jim flubs most of the titles/actors/and even common words, whilst Brannyk admits that Bugs Bunny and Elmer Fudd are the original Slash couple.
All this and more…
The Rocky Horror Picture Show: A Campy Cult Classic
The movie Jim couldn’t finish the first 30 times he tried watching it and the one where Brannyk thought ended before the pool scene. This one is a ‘grow on ya’. As we explore our own vision of the movie, we go off on tangents that include the reboot, third gender, and Bugs Bunny.
In the end we give this a unified… (5 / 5)
Warlock: A Time-Traveling Tale of Witchcraft and Evil
“Warlock” is probably the film that Julian Sands is best known for, and for good reason. This movie is a bit of an oddball, combining elements of witchcraft, evil demons, and time travel. The story centers on a man from the 17th century who escaped religious prosecution by jumping through time. However, he finds that the 20th century is not as accepting as he had hoped.
Without further spoilers, this is the movie that really kicks off the ‘bad guys are cool’ fest that happens. Let’s face it: Who would you root for? Sexy Silky Smooth Julian Sands or some guy who looks like a Vikings fan and trying to bring women back to the 1600s. Hmmmm… (4.5 / 5)
Embryo: A Sci-Fi Horror Flick
“Embryo” is a 1976 horror film that explores the consequences of growing a human embryo in an artificial uterus. The film stars Rock Hudson, Barbara Carrera, and Diane Ladd, with a cameo by Roddy McDowall. The story unfolds as Dr. Paul Holliston, a geneticist, saves an unborn puppy from a fatally injured dog by growing it in an artificial uterus. Inspired by the success of his experiment, Holliston applies the same technique to an unborn human. The result is a 22-year-old woman named Victoria, who grows to maturity in a shockingly short amount of time and develops incredible intelligence. As Victoria grows older, she discovers that her cells are aging rapidly. In desperation, she turns to methotrexate, a drug that slows her aging. However, she soon becomes addicted to the drug and her life spirals out of control.
This is one creepy movie as it’s basically build a woman and use her as you want.
