I recently rediscovered a bunch of photographs from way back in my history, in that transitional world in between college and adulthood… I was living in New England for the first time, at the border of Vermont and New Hampshire, and had been struck by the cemeteries in the countryside. Here are some photographs rising from the depths…

looking up at cemetery gravestones through fall leaves, lying on the ground
starting to rise, now seated
shuffling to one’s feet…
… and standing tall, surveying the scene
a different view of the cemetery
another cemetery, with white picket fence keeping in the dead

Here is a link to my earlier post with more gravestone photography featuring later images taken in Massachusetts. https://hauntedmtl.com/originals/gravestones-original-photos-from-jennifer-weigel/
