The horror webcomic Zombie Ranch has launched a Kickstarter campaign for its second volume. The comic’s married creative team, Lab Reject Studios, is celebrating the tenth anniversary of the comic this year.

Written by Clint Wolf and illustrated by Dawn Wolf, Zombie Ranch is set in an alternate, post-apocalyptic future where zombies are a form of not-so-livestock. The comic follows Susannah Zane, one of these zombie ranchers.

The comic updates weekly on the official website.

From the creators

The creative team of the comic had this to say about the Kickstarter campaign:

2019 marks the ten year anniversary of Zombie Ranch, and to celebrate we’re doing a Kickstarter for a second trade paperback volume collection!

What’s Zombie Ranch? Well, the short and sweet of it is that it’s an independent webcomic written and drawn by the husband and wife team of Clint and Dawn Wolf, set in an alternate, post-apocalyptic future where zombies are wrangled for profit. Satire, science fiction, Westerns and the walking dead all rolled into one strange and entertaining package.

The first Kickstarter back in 2015 was a success and now we’re looking for old fans and new to help us bring another handsomely printed book to life! Or unlife, as it were. So if you’re in the market for a different kind of zombie story or even if you’re just the curious sort, mosey on by and see what we’ve got on offer.

Kickstarter success

This is the second Kickstarter campaign for Lab Reject Studios. The 2015 campaign for the first volume of the comic collected the first seven issues into a book. The current campaign seeks to do the same with the next eight issues of the comic.

The target goal for success for Lab Reject Studios is $2,500. The campaign does launch with two stretch goals of $4000 and $6000. The goals will allow for an art book and a tenth-anniversary pin, respectively. Support tiers for the Kickstarter begin at $10.

You can learn more about the comic through TVTropes. You can also find more information about the comic on Facebook and Instagram.

Haunted MTL wishes Lab Reject Studios great success on the Kickstarter campaign.
